SEA Teacher Batch 9

Hello everyone! Welcome to my blog which is sharing my wonderful and memorable experiences. I am Khanittha Pimpachat. the 3rd year student Bachelor of Education in English Major at Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University (NRRU), Thailand. Here is my first time aboard under the SEA Teacher Project that is the terrific opportunity of the pre-service student teacher to practicum in each country in Southeast Asia. I am honored to have been selected for SEA Teacher Project under Universitas PGRI Semarang (UPGRIS), Jl. Sidodadi Timur Jalan Dokter Cipto No.24, Karangtempel, Kec. Semarang Tim., Kota Semarang, Jawa Tengah 50232, Indonesia which is my host university. I had been there from 12th August – 9th September 2023 with 3 friends divide to 2 from Mathematic major and 1 is my classmate. When the plane landed at Semarang Airport, we got a warm welcome from the host university and our lovely buddies (UPGRIS students). They were waiting to pick us up at the airport with name tags for all 4 of us that let me know here is my host university. My first impression was that I felt very warm and friendly.

Next, we started the 1st week there. It was orientation, meet the president of UPGRIS and our supervisor. The lecturers were so kind-hearted and still got a warm welcome from the University. The welcoming atmosphere was filled with smiles and my excitement about what will happen in one month here. Then we went tour the campus of  UPGRIS with the buddies and Bu Agnita who is one of our supervisors. She is very benign with us. It was nice to go on a campus tour and see more of the general condition of the university that has the appropriate place for support the students to do the activities. I always excited in diary life in Indonesia because I went there without being able to communicate in Indonesian. I can only say hello (Salamat Pagi/ saing) and only thank you (Terimakasih) and I think that the Indonesian language is difficult to speak and has a variety of languages I went to Java Island. which have the Javanese language as a local language This is quite different from the Indonesian language. That always makes me challenged when I go outside without a buddy.
